Ocean Kids, based in Naples, FL, is a non-profit 501(c)3 developed to provide an educational and recreational environment to instruct young people how to handle themselves safely in a variety of ocean situations. Also, the program aims to develop respect of the marine environment and build confidence when interacting with the ocean. Furthermore, it is the goal of Ocean Kids to introduce skills such as CPR, First Aid, and Lifesaving necessary to help others in an emergency situation. General beach knowledge, water and boat safety will be taught to all participants.
Ocean activities abound in this truly fun beach experience. Ocean Kids will provide participants with a fun and educational introduction to surfing, snorkeling, skimming, SUP, and will play and compete in beach and lifeguard games. Every Thursday the junior guards will be divided into two teams and will compete in ‘Beach Olympics.’ The camp’s daily schedule includes individual and group competitions.
